Exploring the World of VR Entertainment and Animation with Lucas Martell
Welcome to a new episode of the XR Magazine podcast! Today we are excited to have Lucas Martell as our guest. Lucas is the executive producer of Mighty Coconut, an independent entertainment studio based in Austin, Texas. He is also the creator of Walkabout Mini Golf, a popular social VR experience that is enjoyed by hundreds of thousands of people in 40 different nations each week.
In addition to his work with Mighty Coconut, Lucas is also known for his contributions to the film industry. He is the co-creator of the animated feature SPIES IN DISGUISE, which stars Will Smith and Tom Holland and was produced by Fox/Blue Sky. Lucas's original short film, PIGEON: IMPOSSIBLE, as well as his animated short film THE OCEANMAKER, have collectively been seen more than 30 million times online and screened at over 350 festivals in 63 different countries.
Lucas's talent and creativity have not gone unnoticed in the industry, and he is represented by Gary Ungar at Exile Entertainment. We can't wait to hear more about Lucas's experiences in the entertainment and VR industries!
